We live in Phoenix, AZ and vacation in the Southport/Oak Island area. Part of the joy of being there is going to Burneys Bakery!! Everyone in our group of 15 LOVE & ENJOY their croissants👍🏼We’ve shared with other friends who vacation there also and every agrees it’s the BEST!!When we want to send a gift to friends who live there, we call them for a yummy treat.

Great crescent but the donuts themselves were good not great. If you go def get the crescent roll. Staff were polite, during Covid they held a great limit of 4 people at a time inside the building. I truly appreciate them taking it so seriously.

Never in my life have I had a croissant as amazing as Burneys. Every time we’re in this area I make it a point to stop by here.

We went for the first time and we're pleasantly surprised. It was very crowded and I can only imagine how packed it gets during the top of the season. The staff was friendly and the stuffed croissant were outstanding. My dad's scone was a bit underdone. The ordering queue and dining area are too close together. It makes for a harried feel. 8/10 will go again.

Old fashioned pastry offered alongside coffee and other drinks. Donuts also available, as is ice cream.

Love Burney's Bakery. Everytime I go to Southport I stop at Burneys and get some goodies.

Cream cheese or Bavarian cream crescents! It puts Krispy Krack to shame and the other desserts are awesome too. Now if they would just make a Tres Leche.

This cute bakery hosts very loyal customers, both locals and return tourists. They have a special glazed croissant thing they make that comes in a variety of flavors. It's pretty good.They also have ice cream! And coffee! If you're looking for an ice cream coffee bakery with good customer service, you'll be pleased with Burney's.

Love stopping here for an ice cream cone or croissant. So many yummy filling choices for the croissants, it's hard to decide on just one! They also have cakes, pies, coffee and other delicious treats. Busy place, with inside seating and friendly staff.

The filled croissants are awesome. I'd stop by here just for those. They have a lot of other standard bakery stuff, but I came for the croissants specifically. Highly recommend it you have a sweet tooth and like filled pastries.

They have some of the best pastries I've ever had. They are fast and friendly and they deserve their five stars I gave them. It's hard to find places like this in the world anymore.

We came on vacation to oak island last year, and I was told to try this place out. I’m so glade we did, my whole family loved it. I’ve never had a croissant Like those!! AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back and get more. You guys should do on line orders and send them to Ohio, I would definitely pay for it.

I am always looking for a good bakery, so I visit everyone I see so I am a little picky. So here are my opinions on whatI got. Cannoli's, brownies, and cream horns- not my favorite but where this bakery excels is the croissants. It is worth it to go here just for the croissants, they r that good! They have tons of flavors, so bring your sweet tooth. The mini choc chess pie is great too and 1 of my favorites.

Holy cow! Where has glazed filled croissants my whole life? This bakery is a game changer. Went in on a whim and they gave me a sample of their croissant and I haven't been the same. If you are ever in Southport NC, make this place the absolute first stop on your visit.

The pastries are AMAZING. I usually don't like croissants but they have these fried, glazed croissants with fillings in them..... THE bomb and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best bakery one the east coast!

I came here with hope to get a dinosaur cake for my sons second birthday and I was not disappointed. They're known for their croissants but the lady that decorated the cake is truly talented. Not to mention the cake was delicious! Since they are not a cake specialty shop you have to have an open mind and be flexible with your request. Thank you!

We always stop at Burney's Bakery when we're in the area. Excellent pastries! They have glazed donuts, crullers, fritters, and lovely glazed croissants, unfilled and with all sorts of fillings. The croissants are not ones you'd use for a sandwich but truly a dessert. We got unfilled glazed, sugar cinnamon, apple, lemon, lime, chocolate, Boston cream, butter cream, etc. They were all really delicious! We also purchased a Gluten Free blueberry muffin as well that was good too. Great ice cream that we've had in the past but not this time around. Staff is really nice and treated us kindly.

This Bakery is fantastic I loved it I loved it I loved it yummy and delicious is all I can say about this place you have to come visit this place and they're very reasonably priced.

If i were stranded on a desert island and I could only eat one thing it would Burney’s coconut cream pie, or the cream cheese croissant, or the cherry pie..well pretty much anything they make. It’s all just freaking good and my kids cant get enough of it.

Wow, Wonderful little bakery. I got there at the end of the day and they were running out of products. However what I did have was great. Can't wait wait to get back early and try their favorite items.

There are several Burney's locations in Eastern North Carolina. All of the ones that we've visited offer similar delicious selections. Their most popular item is their glazed and filled croissant donuts and they are awesome. If you find yourself near a Burney's location stop in. You won't be disappointed.
